Steps to Change the admin Password in Joomla 1.5:

You can easily change the administrator’s password of your Joomla 1.5 site form the control panel i.e. the admin panel. Just follow the following steps to change the admin password of your Joomla 1.5 site:

1. Log in to your Joomla website’s administrative backend control panel (Joomla admin area).
2. Once you logged in there, check the box next to the administrator username and click the Edit button located at the top-right Joomla menu.
3. The Edit panel is now there. Form the Edit menu you should type the new admin password in the New Password and Verify Password fields. Remember, both the password should be same otherwise the password would not be changed. After doing this, click the Save button.

And that’s all. In this way, you can easily change the admin password in Joomla 1.5 website. And you have to use the new admin password next time when you would try to login to your Joomla admin panel / backend of your Joomla website.

1. After changing the password, you have to use the new password every time when you would like to access of your Joomla 1.5 website.
